Domestic Cleaner in Nursing Home

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Domestic Cleaner, someone who is highly motivated with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills. Purpose of the job:

To maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the home. 

Main duties:

1. To clean all designated areas in the home to the required standard.

2. To ensure that the bathrooms, shower-rooms and toilets are kept in a clean state throughout the period of duty.

3. To maintain acceptable cleanliness in residents' rooms, including making beds and changing bed linen as needed.

4. To advise the Domestic Supervisor on duty of any defects in furniture, fittings and cleaning equipment.

5. To operate cleaning and polishing machines safely and in a manner that avoids hazards to users of the home.

6. To maintain the kitchen area clean and maintain a high standard of hygiene.

7. To ensure the storage area for equipment is clean and tidy.

8. To undertake additional cleaning tasks as required. 

9. To work collaboratively as part of the staff team, and attend relevant training sessions and staff meetings as directed.
