Bastian Schweinsteiger announces retirement from football
The former World Cup winner and Bayern Munich captain has called time on an illustrious career. German national team coach Joachim Löw has paid tribute to 'one of Germany's greatest ever players.'

W Bayernie występował od początku seniorskiej kariery. W trakcie 13 lat z Bawarczykami wygrał także Ligę Mistrzów oraz siedmiokrotnie Puchar Niemiec.
Później jego kariera wyhamowała. Bez sukcesów przez dwa sezony występował w Manchesterze United, a za ocean przeniósł się w 2017 roku.
W drużynie narodowej zagrał w 121 meczach i zdobył 24 bramki. Trzecie miejsce na mundialu zajmował z nią w 2006 i 2010 roku, a w 2008 wywalczył wicemistrzostwo Europy.
