What are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced baker to join our in-store bakery team who are responsible for the production of a variety of breads and cakes. You’ll be able to bake with precision as well as able to be creative with your approach to baking when asked to be. You will also understand the importance of following H&S practice in the bakery.

What will you do?

• Mix, divide, shape, proof, and bake bread and other bakery products.
• Maintain accurate mix times, temp logs, and production records
• Prepare, package and weigh bakery products for sale
• Monitor product quality and freshness and ensure proper rotation of products
• Ensure customer needs are met in a timely fashion
• Follow procedures for preparing, storing, rotating, and stocking of product
• Maintain a clean and well organised work area
• Follow and comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
• Follow the workplace HACCP throughout the production process

What will you need?

• 3 years of baking experience
• Precision when following a recipe
• The ability to be creative in when constructing new products
• Demonstrable knowledge of the safe practice in a bakery
• Ability to work as a team
• Good time management
