London/ Surrey – Salary – Competitive

Established High–End Construction Contractor seeks competent site manager looking to build a career and grow within the company.

Must have:

  • Valid SMSTS Certificate (Not less than 1 year)
  • Valid site related certification including First Aid, COSHH, Fire Marshall, PASMA
  • CSCS Card

Description/Role:

The role itself will be working/ supporting the Operations and Project managers (based in our London office) on residential and reconfiguration/ refurbishment projects across London’s affluent areas. This will involve the following but not limited to:

  • Build in accordance with relevant standards, Codes of Practice, Building Regulations and warranty requirements.
  • Manage both internal and external construction works
  • Day to day problem solving.
  • Carry out toolbox talks.
  • Manage all Health & Safety on site
  • Maintain Quality control checks.
  • Create and Management of construction programme.
  • Manage Contractors, Subcontractors and Site Staff
  • Co–ordinate contractors and site labour.
  • Motivate the workforce throughout the project.
  • Ensure all site administration is carried out in accordance with QMS
  • Issuing CVIs RFIs and CVRs as the action dicates
  • Carry out weekly H&S Inspections
  • Prepare Weekly Planners and Daily Site Diaries
  • Assist PM in all reporting
  • Daily progress reporting
  • Assist Procurement Manager in Subcontractors Procurement

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience site managing project ranging between 5M – 10M
  • Construction related degree (not essential but desired)
  • Driven, motivated, organised and enthusiactic with ambition to succeed within an ever–expanding organisation.
  • Ability to work under own initative when required and manage workload efficiently.
  • Strong IT and reporting skills alongside a good written and oral communications skills.
  • Experience with Excel beneficial
