After the collision, a 13-year-old Dutch goalkeeper died
During the football match in the Dutch Heerenberg (near the border with Germany), a 13-year-old goalkeeper died. During the game there was a head collision with one of the rivals. He lost consciousness on the pitch and died in the hospital in Nijmegen.

Pierwszej pomocy zawodnikowi MVR Heerenberg (120 km od Amsterdamu) udzielono na murawie. Powodem zgonu było uszkodzenie mózgu.
Po informacji o śmierci bramkarza zorganizowano spotkanie dla młodych piłkarzy obu zespołów i ich rodziców.
Wszystkie najbliższe spotkania drużyn MVR Heerenberg zostały odwołane.
